EmilyC Carnell has been a resident of the virtual world of Second Life™ since July 2007. She had her start as a hostess at the Galaxy and as a manager of several dance clubs before entering the fashion industry as a supermodel in the beginning of 2008.
In November of 2007, Carnell established Fashion Secrets, an in-world group dedicated to guiding members to promotional freebies, sales, and quality fashion.
In December of 2007, Carnell partnered with another model to establish Beautify, Inc., a shapes and image consultation business. With shapes first appearing in Feburary ’08, Beautify officially launched its high fashion supermodel shapes collection many months later, in July. The collection appeared in a Beautify-produced fashion show that featured high fashion by Bolero Collection, Kunglers Designs, and Haute Couture & Co.
Since the termination of Beautify, Inc., she has been concentrating on developing Fashion Secrets, EmBody (her own line of shapes), and InFashion, a new high fashion magazine.
Fun Facts:
- EmilyC Carnell was one of the original ethnic supermodels selected by Modavia founder and former CEO Dea Mills to be a part of Modavia, the first high fashion directory of SL.
- Due to real life priorities, she was only featured in two fashion spreads in the Modavia directory.
- She has appeared in several runway shows; her runway career was shortened due to the combination of the following: a poor graphic card, poor internet speed, and real life obligations.
- Her favorite color is blue, but red makes her happy. She loves wearing black, beige and white.
